Construction and care

Every Bird Dog Woodworks flag is built from two pieces of quarter-inch premium cabinet-grade poplar-core Baltic birch — painted, engraved, and adhered for a total thickness of one half inch. Because it is genuine wood and not a printed board, no two are ever identical: natural knots, grain variation, and small character marks are part of the material, not flaws. Wood also breathes — it can expand and contract slightly as indoor humidity shifts through the seasons. For that reason these flags are made for indoor display and are not weatherproof. I stand behind every piece I build and want you proud to hang it; the natural character of the wood and normal seasonal movement are part of owning a solid, made-to-order piece — not defects.
