Meet Hudson: The Bird Dog Behind Bird Dog Woodworks
Every shop name has a story. Ours has four legs and a lot of energy.
Meet Hudson
Hudson is our German Shorthaired Pointer: loyal, quirky and never short on energy. He is the original bird dog of the family, and the shop is named after him. We will never make anything as elegant as Hudson, but he sets the bar for everything that leaves the shop.
One shop, one person
Bird Dog Woodworks is a one-person laser engraving shop in Ontario, NY. Every piece is designed, cut, engraved and finished by Chris, a Sergeant with the New York State Police, one piece at a time.
What we make
- Law enforcement gifts: badge replicas, NYSP shields, Thin Blue Line flags and slate coasters
- Custom branded promotional products for businesses, wineries, breweries, restaurants and departments
- Custom signs and special orders, from one-of-a-kind pieces to group orders
Our promise
- A free digital proof on every custom order. Nothing is cut until you approve it.
- Find something you like anywhere online and send it over. We may not beat the price, but we guarantee we will beat the quality.
- Small, one-off requests are just as welcome as bulk orders.
Giving back
Chris donates pieces from the shop to the families of fallen heroes and to events held in their honor.
